Losing Weight After C Section

I had my first C-Section after 10 hours of hard labor. Seeing my baby boy shot me full of endorphins and the next day the nurses doubtfully took the catheter out and let me walk.

I shuffled around the room just 9 hours after surgery. I believe getting up early helped tremendously as I didn't have much stiffness to contend with later.

The best exercise to get me back into shape was a walk with the stroller. START SMALL. Just a hundred steps into my first walk it I realized my body went through a lot and I should slow down.

The stroller is perfect because you can adjust how much weight you are putting on it and it can become almost like a walker in times of need. Again, take it slow, and stand as tall as you can without pulling the stitches.

Sometimes it helps to take smaller steps than your usual stride to ease some of the tenderness in the hip area. The first day I just got to the end of my street and back(barely!). By the end of the first week, I was around the block. In six weeks, I was taking a brisk 30 minute walk with my son each morning and had lost 13 pounds.
