C-Section Tummy

by Stacey
(AZ)

I had my son almost 3 years on the dot. I am 25 and have always had weight issues. It has just gotten worse since having my son. I walk 3-5 times a week for a hour at a time. I count my calories and try to keep them around 1400 a day. I just can't seem to get rid of the tummy. I bought an exercise ball but don't know what the best exercises are to target my lower stomach around my c section scar. Can you help?

Stacey,

Thanks for your question! Know that you are not alone in your struggle to regain your abs after a c section.

It sounds like you are on the right track with your walking and calories. Now, you just need to add some weight training or strengthening.

As you mentioned, a great way to strengthen your abs is on a ball. It's actually my favorite way! If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend checking out my free fitness ball routine.

I would also recommend checking out my review on a Fitness Program for Moms just like you called, Fit Yummy Mummy." This program can really help you set up a good weight training program for overall toning, including the abdomen!

Good luck!

Helping you reach your fitness potential,
Shelley
