How often?

by Jason Chen
(Taipei, Taiwan)

I am a trainer/learner. I have been doing and teaching the 10 ab crunches (among 13 ab exercises) without using equipment suggested by researchers in Sandi Ago State University. Can I do 15 reps and 3 sets for each exercise, 7 days a week without letting my ab muscles to rest. I also do walking and biking on a regular basis. My training goal is to burn my ab fat and get the six pack.

With my warmest regards,
Jason

Jason,
First of all, I commend you for your interest in fitness for yourself and for teaching others! Way to go!

I would suggest exercising the abs like you would any other muscle in your body. I usually recommend 3-4 times per week. So, in your case, I would recommend 15 reps for 3 sets for no more than 4 days per week.

Good luck to you and keep up the good work!!

Shelley
