Yoge Easy Pose

The Easy Pose is a relaxation pose and it is normally practiced after the Corpse Pose.

Also known under the name of Sukhasana, the Easy Pose is used commonly for meditation. Sit down on the floor, or on your yoga mat, and fold your legs, right foot under left leg and left foot under right leg. Allow your knees to fall down to the floor only as far as is comforable for you. Place your hands on your knees with your palms face up.

It is important to keep your head up and the position of your back as straight as possible. Breathing is also important - try to fill your lungs with air and hold it as long as is comfortable. It is recommended to breathe through your nose. While seated in the Easy Pose, relax your face, your jaws and your belly.

The Easy Pose is, however, to be avoided after a chronic or recent knee injury, as it might cause increased discomfort. If you have pain or discomfort with this position, you can place a folded blanket either under your knees or hips or sit is a chair instead.

This pose is highly recommended for meditation promoting inner calm and relaxation, and as a plus, it is not difficult to perform!
