Tips to Lose Belly Fat

by Sandy

My only problem is that I have like a jelly belly and that I have these fat little blobs that pop out of my jeans and I don't like them (I think their called love handles).

I'm 5 feet tall and I weigh 99 pounds. I'm 12 yrs old. All my friends tell me I'm not fat and honestly I don't think I'm that fat either. But, can you like please tell me what I should do to get rid of this (exercises and or the food I should eat. I'll do anything! :)

Thank you!

Sandy

Here's My response....
Sandy,

I just want to start by saying that some of that "jelly belly" is normal. Here's a statistic from anred.com, "More than half of teenage girls are, or think they should be, on diets. They want to lose some or all of the 40 pounds that females naturally gain between ages 8 and 14."

Saying that, I do think you can firm up your abs with strengthening exercises like you can with any other muscle in your body.

I would recommend using my free "Unbelievable Abs Ball Workout" to firm your abs along with a regular cardiovascular workout (walking, jogging, biking, etc.)

Workout your abs like you do any other muscle in your body...I would recommend 3-4 times/week for 2-3 sets of 10-12 reps.

You can purchase a ball at your local sporting goods store, but make sure you get one that fits your size. For a person 5 feet tall, a 55 cm ball would be your size. I also recommend purchasing a burst resistant ball if possible - they usually last longer and are more durable.

Good luck!

Helping you reach your fitness potential,
Shelley
