My Secret

My personal advice for recovery from C-section

by Aires
(Bukidnon, Philippines)

Last four months ago, I underwent c-section with my fourth and last child because I decided to have my ob-gynecologist cut my fallopian tube. Every time I got pregnant, I grew fat and I had always experienced nervousness after the delivery. And the fourth was the same.

When my tummy reached five months, I went to OB-sonologist and had my ultrasound. The baby grew alright and the physician told me to come back when it was my due.

When I came back, my baby was in transverse lie position and her cord coiled. Undergoing a c-section was far from my mind so I called up my OB-gynecologist and asked advice from her. She told me that I should be admitted right away and that was it.

My advice for those who are and will undergo c-section, do what your OB-gynecologist would tell you. They know exactly what and what not to do. Do not overeat. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables so the wound would heal nicely. Drink a lot of vitamin C-rich juices. Protect your tummy by wearing stomach binder. Do simple household chores. And avoid stress.
