Husband

by Mike
(Surprise,Arizona)

My wife had a c-section 14 years ago. She decided to recently do some sit ups and drastically hurt herself incidentally.

Her stomach was very painful for a month. Supposedly her stitches were very strained.

What exercises can she do to help lose some unwanted fat around her belly button that will not compromise her stitches?

Really need your help on this!

Thank you!

Advice from a bodybuilder
by: Amateur Bodybuilder

Dear Sir

I am a male bodybuilder, training for my first competition.

The only way for your wife to lose fat is to adjust her diet according to her energy needs (bodyfat measurement, resting metabolic rate, etc.), and then to perform overall aerobic exercise (I prefer reclined cycling) for at least three hours per week.

Your wife should also begin a WHOLE BODY rehabilitation programme, which will involve light weights at first, in order to strengthen her core muscles. After a few months of total body conditioning, adjusting caloric intake according to lean mass and gaining experience in training, she can embark on a bespoke abdominal rehabilitation programme.

Hope this helps!
God Bless

had a c section 3 weeks ago

If she had a c-section 14 years ago, shouldn't the stitches have healed by now? I'm not sure what kind of stitches she had, but the kind they make nowadays dissolve away as the incision site heals. usually it takes 4-8 weeks for them to heal and dissolve (that's what my OB told me today).

I'm sorry your wife hurt herself from the exercise and hope she feels better soon. I'm wondering if maybe she did too much and just after having been inactive and pulled a muscle- and not actually hurt the incision/stitches. Perhaps she can talk to her doc about this.
