If you are like me, you have a busy schedule with limited time to exercise. No longer do you need a costly gym membership to look and feel your best! It's true. By using a few simple pieces of home exercise equipment that you can easily carry in a bag, you can get in shape from the comfort and convenience of home. I'm going to focus on a few pieces of low-cost equipment that you can easily buy at your local sporting goods store. Exercise Ball
Exercise resistance cords are a low-cost alternative to hand weights or fancy weight machines. I love using a resistance band or cord for my upper body workouts. Strap for Your Exercise Ball When you add a strap like the one below to your exercise ball, you can then use your exercise resistance cord while sitting on your ball! This will greatly improve your abdominal strength because it forces you to balance on the ball while exercising your upper body. Talk about getting the most out of your workout!
Walking Program Using a Pedometer One of the best ways to get exercise for your heart and lungs is by walking. A treadmill is nice to have for bad weather days, but overall, walking outside in the fresh air is one of my favorite types of exercise. To make your walking exercise program more effective, try using a pedometer to track your steps or miles you walk each day. You can easily clip a pedometer on your belt or in your pocket. Also, don't forget to monitor your heart rate while exercising. Exercising within your target heart rate zone will greatly increase the effectiveness of your exercise! Jump Rope Using a jump rope can be an easy way to get a cardiovascular workout on the run. Whether you are traveling around the world or in your back yard, using a jump rope is a great workout. Just slip your jump rope in your exercise bag and you're ready to go! Share Your Home Exercise Equipment Reviews!
